Audi A5 component protection

Hi
Is VVDI2 able to virgin component protection on used Audi A5 radio, and re code without having vehicle from where radio came from?

If i reset using OBD function, it says may need re-flashing after read. What happens if does need re-flashing? would this immobilise vehicle?

Any advice would be great.
